Bridlewood
Bridlewood is the fourth phase of the Bluegrass Aspendale HOPE VI Revitalization. The completion of this new neighborhood adds 25 new buildings with a total of 88 Energy Star certified homes to the redevelopment.
Continuing with the unique design styles and characteristics of Phases I – III, Bridlewood homes feature brick and fiber cement siding for long term durability. (The fiber cement siding is considered a green building product.) The homes also feature 9 foot ceilings adorned with ceiling fans and an abundance of tinted, insulated glass vinyl windows to aid in the energy efficiency, thereby warranting their Energy Star Certification. The windows and ceiling fans provide the benefit of cross ventilation when air conditioning units are not really needed.
Outside, residents are surrounded by mature trees, parks and a community school and center. The neighborhood is interconnected to dedicated bike lanes, and bike racks are installed in the parking lots for the residents.
