Ashton joined Sherman Carter Barnhart as an intern in 2021 and is now a full-time member of the firm’s K-12 Education Studio. She works closely with the design team throughout each phase of the design process, contributing to thoughtful, student-centered learning environments.
She earned her Masters and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Kentucky, and is currently pursuing architectural licensure.
Her interest in design began at a young age through a love of art and creativity. During high school, her passion for architecture grew as she traveled through Europe and experienced different cultures, places, and styles of design. Those experiences helped her realize that architecture was the path she wanted to follow.
Outside of work, she enjoys riding horses, kayaking, spending time on the farm, and being with friends and family.
