Jefferson Street
The revitalization of Jefferson Street encompasses the renovation of an existing vacant building and the design and construction of a new two story building featuring 4 units.
The existing vacant structure is a historic two-story brick structure that was originally a residence but in later years renovated into retail. The renovation included major demolition and reconstruction to restore the structure to a single family residence.
The new building is two-story wood frame multi-family building with four one-bedroom apartments.
Both buildings are Energy Star Certified and LEED for Homes Certified. This is the first LEED for Homes certified public housing residences in Kentucky.
