Interior Designer

Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects believes everyone deserves exceptional design because it inspires people and improves their lives. We are seeking a collaborative, creative, confident individual with the desire to design uplifting, innovative, sustainable interior environments. The right candidate should have strong creative and communication skills and a keen interest in establishing and crafting an interior design studio.

Responsibilities and activities would include:

  • Meeting with clients to understand their objectives and desires,
  • Generating all interior concepts for architectural projects, including full responsibility for interpretation, organization, execution, and coordination.
  • Providing expertise on all components of interior design.

 

The right individual should have a bachelor’s degree in interior design and certification as a licensed professional.

Architect/Assistant Project Manager

Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, talented Architect/Assistant Project Manager.

Qualified applicants should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture
  • State of Kentucky Architectural License or near completion of ARE
  • Minimum of 5 years of architectural experience
  • Ability to design, develop contract documents, and perform construction administration
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to facilitate meetings with the clients, project staff, and consultant coordination
  • The ability to utilize computer systems to effectively manage projects. Required computer skills: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe, and MS Office
