Jennifer Cash, AIA

Associate Principal

Jennifer joined Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects in 2006 and became an Associate Principal in 2019. A registered architect in Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Missouri, she focuses exclusively on educational design, creating innovative, energy-efficient, and resilient learning environments.

She has led the design of numerous high-performance schools, including Kentucky’s most recent Zero Energy school, Jennings Creek Elementary. A strong advocate for sustainable and disaster-resilient construction, Jennifer frequently incorporates Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) wall systems into her projects and speaks nationally on the benefits of ICF and high-performance school design.

Passionate about improving educational environments, Jennifer enjoys collaborating with school boards and communities to create spaces that inspire learning and support student success. Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy hands-on projects around their home and spending time with their two daughters.
