Josh Schultz, AIA

Architect

Josh joins Sherman Carter Barnhart’s Nashville office with experience in a variety of project types. While growing up he developed a love for drawing and building. Following that spark, he attended the University of Kentucky to study architecture, afterward earning his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan. Josh became a licensed architect in 2023 and is always eager to continue to expand his knowledge in the role of an architect. Understanding that there are learning opportunities to be found in every part of a project, he hopes to absorb as much as he can and to contribute to an environment that develops effective and meaningful solutions. Through his project experience, the intersection of adapting existing buildings and sustainable design has become an interesting focal point to him, and he aims to become a LEED Accredited Professional in the future to further pursue these ideas.

When away from work, Josh loves spending his time with his wife and their son. Together they enjoy visiting with their families, caring for their two dogs, crafting, and Kentucky basketball.
