Justin has been with Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects for over 21 years and became a Principal in 2016. As a child, Justin was often found drawing buildings and exploring his love of art, so it was only logical when he decided to pursue a career as an architect. As a firm principal, Justin works with many of our educational and church clients, where he is passionate about making lasting impacts in the communities in which he works. These areas of his practice are also an extension of what has impacted him the most in life, as his mother, sister and wife are teachers, and his father a minister.
As the father of two very active boys, you will find Justin traveling between baseball, football, basketball and cross-country events watching his two favorite athletes. When he’s not cheering on his boys, you’ll find the whole family supporting the Kentucky Wildcats or traveling across the United States watching baseball games. As of 2018, they’ve visited 13 MLB parks and attended the College World Series. He does manage to find a few weeks in the summer to visit the family’s favorite vacation destination -Martha’s Vineyard.
