Matt has been an integral part of Sherman Carter Barnhart’s production team since 2005. He has worked on a variety of projects including managing the document preparation for several of the new residence halls that transformed the University of Kentucky’s student housing. Of all the projects he has worked on, he feels the first two residence halls, Lyman T. Johnson and Donovan were probably the most challenging, given they were the first, and the project schedules were tight (two buildings, 601 beds, 14months)! Five years later and numerous residence halls later, Matt really enjoyed working on the Lewis Honor Hall for its unique features that included smart classrooms and a café.
Outside of work, he, like many SCBer’s is an avid UK Wildcat fan, cheering on his CATS during football and basketball season. He is also an outdoorsman, frequently hiking and hunting. When he can’t be outdoors, and the Cats aren’t playing, Matt loves to follow technology and its updates, as well as learning about space.
