Tim Moss

Tim has worked with us for since 1989. Most of his experience has been with educational projects. Sherman Carter Barnhart has always been in the forefront of using technology & Tim has played a big part in the success of our CADD and Revit designs with his years of experience. Tim believes that form should follow function. He enjoys the challenge of putting all the pieces and details together to make a project come together as a functional building. One of his most memorable projects was working on Wilmore Elementary School where his wife now teaches. While he was working on this project, his wife was working towards her education degree.  One of the things Tim likes about Wilmore Elementary’ s design is what they call “The Hallway of Flags”. The school has students from all around the world and there is a flag for each child’s country. As you enter into the main lobby, you see on the soffit, “THE SCHOOL WITH THE WORLD INSIDE”, and on the floor a compass rose and flags for each child.

Tim is creative and enjoys sculpting, woodworking, stained glass, and creating mobiles. He has created mobiles as big as six feet tall and as small as two inches tall and has sold countless numbers of them. Tim also enjoys canoeing, hiking, and cycling which he does often accompanied by his wife of 36 years. Tim is very active in his church where he serves as an Elder, Teacher and Center Shot Archery instructor. Tim also has three children and two grandchildren that he enjoys spending time with.
