Joe Craft Basketball Suite
The Joe Craft Basketball Suite in Rupp Arena, is the home of the newly expanded University of Kentucky men’s basketball team home locker room. The new space includes much of the original floor of the 2012 Championship. The signature entry includes the free throw lane which is highlighted by a” feature wall” showcasing a replica of the 2012 NCAA Championship trophy. The center court graphics and a “NCAA Champion 2012” banner are the focus of the newly renovated circular, wood paneled locker room. The famed sideline “the road stops here” is partnered with one wall completely covered by a photograph of the New Orleans court just after UK won the Championship in the new players’ lounge and dining area. New coaches offices, a theater-style meeting room, new press area, upgraded training room and new hospitality room for special guests complete the new Center.
The improved training room added hydro-therapy treatment whirlpools and a medical room with an X-ray machine. Four additional athletic locker rooms were also upgraded, and eight small dressing rooms were converted into four large ones to serve officials and double-header basketball tournaments, as well as a wide range of performers who play at Rupp Arena. A new second floor mezzanine for storage was built on the west side of Rupp Arena.
