The Kentucky Sports Factory brings a community’s 15-year vision to life through a partnership between the City of Madisonville and the Hopkins County Fiscal Court. As the centerpiece of the Midtown Commons development, the state-of-the-art complex establishes a regional destination for athletics, recreation, tournaments, and community events.
Designed for flexibility, the facility accommodates six competition basketball courts, 12 competition volleyball courts, 22 pickleball courts, six futsal courts, a 60-yard indoor soccer field, and a permanent pitching and batting cage. Supporting amenities include a concession area with a commercial kitchen, two event rooms, a spacious central concourse, and operational support spaces.
The site accommodates approximately 400 vehicles, with designated areas for oversized vehicles and food trucks and additional overflow parking nearby. It is also prepared for future expansion, including rough grading for three outdoor football or soccer fields.
The pre-engineered metal building pairs efficiency with an inviting architectural presence. Stone walls frame the central glass entrance, while wood-finished metal panels add warmth to the concourse connecting the hardwood courts and indoor turf field. Highly visible from the interstate, the facility serves as a visual anchor for Midtown Commons and the surrounding development.
A planned second phase will add outdoor soccer and baseball or softball fields, along with bleachers and field lighting, expanding the complex’s capacity to meet the region’s growing demand for outdoor recreation and competitive sports.
